The Forestburg and District Museum features a collection of homesteading and agricultural tools, mining memorabilia and an authentic 1920’s kitchen. The variety of exhibits reflect the heritage of east central rural Alberta. Curated displays are often changed to complement events that are happening in Forestburg and the surrounding area. As Forestburg celebrates it’s 100th Anniversary in 2019, the museum will be emphasizing early history from 1915-1930, including a large display of musical heritage. Located in the original Masonic Temple built in 1927, the building is a Municipal Historic Resource and is listed on the Alberta Register of Historic Places, along with the nearby Diplomat Mine Interpretive Centre. General guided tours and school tours available. Free admission. Donations accepted.
