Youth Entrepreneurship

Junior Achievement Company Program

Junior-AchievementThe Junior Achievement Company Program is a Student Venture that inspires high school students to understand the role of business in our society by creating an enterprise of their own. By collaborating with professional volunteer consultants to design, organize and operate a real business, students experience how a small enterprise functions. These new entrepreneurs work within the structure of our Canadian economic system and realize the benefits it provides.

Alberta Community Cooperative Youth Leadership Program

ACCAEvery year, Flagstaff County sponsors youth aged 11-18 to attend The Alberta Community and Cooperative Association (ACCA) camp. ACCA's Co-operative Youth Leadership Program provides an opportunity for youth to develop their leadership and teamwork skills. It is designed to give youth the independence and confidence in their abilities while creating lasting friendships. These seven day programs take place at Goldeye Centre, located near Nordegg, Alberta. This beautiful, remote setting provides youth the perfect environment to build friendships, discover hidden talents, learn new skills, gain a positive view of the world, and contribute to their own future.
