varmints copy

It’s probably the last thing on your mind right now. But when infestations of Richardson’s Ground Squirrels are wreaking havoc on crops and farmland in a few months, eradicating the irksome varmints will be top of mind. By then, however, it could be too late.

That’s why Flagstaff County is once again selling 2% Liquid Strychnine Concentrate. Sure, there may still be snow on the ground, but the best time to start using Strychnine is in late March, after the female “gophers” have come out of hibernation. For optimal results, it is widely recommended that Strychnine be used between mid-March and early May.

So don’t hesitate. All qualifying producers are invited to stop by the Flagstaff County Office to pick up some Strychnine.

Please be forewarned that there are strict guidelines in place regulating the purchase and use of this product. Prior to purchase, the producer will be required to sign an “Acknowledgement of Purchase & Use of Product” at the County Office. Qualifying producers are restricted to a limit of three cases per visit.

For more information or to place an order, call 780-384-4118.

A CLASSIC:

Judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.

NOTHING…. so beautiful as the big spaces. Steering wheel hand-wavers…salt of the earth folks that are rock of civility. Nothing so beautiful as the empty…in prairie thunderstorm’s electrified sky….in the dance of sun-kissed canola in a breeze. Things resilient in the tug of war with life made complex in a hectic society. In oil and gas, agriculture, and land-based recreation activity that feels free, lies the ingredients for life authentically lived. We are rooted in land and people…seeking simplicity amidst the complexity of life. Flagstaff – full of classics.
