Flagstaff County is excited to announce that this year's “Flagstaff Celebrates Success" will be held Wednesday, October 11 at the Killam Community Centre.

The event, a celebration of the local businesses and volunteers that make the Flagstaff Region unique, features two Alberta-based acts: Safire Dance and magician Sheldon Casavant.

Safire Dance features the following performers: Stilt Walkers, Hula Hoopers, Fire Eaters, Contortionists and Contact Juggling. Safire Dance has performed in 16 countries around the world, over 4 million people have seen her videos online and she has appeared in dozens of television spots, magazines, newspapers, blogs and more.

Sheldon Casavant isn’t your everyday magician. Recognized as one of Canada’s most sought after performers, he engages diverse audiences with a repertoire of magic that is highly interactive and fun. From intimate gatherings to audiences in excess of 25,000 people, Sheldon's unique style of magic has been appreciated around the world. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, he has entertained across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Panama, China, and has performed over 600 shows in Japan. When all eyes were on Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics, Sheldon performed for competing athletes from around the world.

  • Evening entertainment (Sheldon Casavant) - 7:45 p.m.
