To deliver the programs, services and initiatives contained in this Business Plan, Flagstaff County is organized as the following organizational chart indicates.
Flagstaff County’s organizational chart identifies the structure of the formal relationships within its operations. The chart also identifies the formal channels of communication that are utilized in the organization and reflects departmental responsibilities and the staff positions in each area.
In December 2011, Flagstaff County moved into the new Administration Building located at 12435 Twp Rd 442 (West of the County Shop).
In May 2008 Flagstaff County purchased 68 acres of land in the NE 8-44-12 W4M for the purpose of a new administration building. Throughout 2008 and 2009 Flagstaff County conducted a space needs assessment, and created a building committee with two advisory members from the public. In April 2010, through the formal tendering process, Phoenix Construction was awarded the contract for the construction of the building. Construction began in April 2010 and was completed in December 2011.
The project was completed at a cost of $8,159,630. The Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI) provincial funding provided $5,425,000. The remainder of the funding was provided through reserves.
MEETING ROOM FOR RENT
Flagstaff County has a large meeting room in the current administration building available for rent to public and private groups. Rental rates range from $75-$150, depending on the size of room required, with a maximum capacity of 60 people in the large room. Access to a kitchen for meal/catering purposes is available.
